Orozco será nombrado próximamente Embajador en París
José Clemente López Orozco será el nuevo Embajador de España en Paris, sustituyendo a Francisco Villar. No se trata de un rumor –desde hace algunas semanas se hablaba de algo parecido—sino de una noticia plenamente confirmada. El nombramiento se hará oficial en el primer Consejo de Ministros del próximo año, pero Orozco permanecerá en Lugo hasta después del 9 de febrero, fecha señalada para la toma de posesión del nuevo Obispo de la Diócesis.
El gobierno está convencido de que el actual Alcalde de Lugo es la persona ideal para un perfecto entendimiento con el gobierno francés de derechas y especialmente con el Presidente de la República, Sr. Sarkozy.
Por otro lado el PSOE estima que su ausencia al frente del Consistorio facilitaría un entendimiento con el BNG y como consecuencia un gobierno municipal más fuerte.
En cuanto al sucesor de Orozco, es pronto para dar nombres. Se habla de Liñares –podría dar marcha atrás y no incorporarse a su importante cargo en la Confederación Hidrográfica–, también de Rábade e incluso de una mujer.
La marcha de Orozco venía gestándose desde hace tiempo, incluso antes de las elecciones, y quedó decidida la pasada semana tras una cena celebrada en la casa que José Blanco tiene en Palas de Rey.
No hace falta poner demasiada atención en el asunto para darse cuenta que es un calco de lo ocurrido con Paco Vázquez en La Coruña.
Ayer, al finalizar la presentación del libro de Olga Romay, a la que acudió el Alcalde, le felicité públicamente. Los que nos rodeaban se sorprendieron y no entendieron nada; él puso cara de ¿y tú como te has enterado?.
Si es para bien, que seguro que sí, felicidades y mucha suerte.
Dos óbitos que me impresionan especialmente: Abelardo Santiago Ferrín que en su juventud fue un destacado atleta y Manuel del Rio. Me dio clases de dibujo en el Instituto Masculino a mediados de los 50. Era un pintor excelente.
En el Circulo de las Artes están desbordados con el sarao del 31. Es la fiesta, con diferencia, más concurrida del año, sobre todo en la planta baja donde se concentran centenares de quinceañeros. Para muchos de ellos será la primera vez.
La sociedad celebra mañana sábado sesión ordinaria para aprobar los presupuestos del próximo año, que se acercan al millón cuatrocientos mil euros.
Hoy viernes, en la Plaza de Abastos y en el Mercado de Quiroga Ballesteros, ventas especiales de cara al fin de año. Merece la pena que acudan.

¿ Por que el Alcalde Orozco en su blog personal bloquea las direcciones (más bien intenta bloquearlas) de los que le escriben y no le hacen la pelota. Yo he probado y por el hecho de haberle llamado inclito profesor me intentó bloquear la IP. Claro su torpeza es tan grande que no debe de saber que las IP varian y que se puede usar un Proxy y demás cosas. ¿Quien le paga a Orozco el blog?. ¿por qué es tan mal educado?. Hace años se dedicaba a dar la mano por la calle al primero que encontraba y apuntaba cosas en una libreta, y finiquitaba con; no te preocupes ya te llamará Sole? y sole nunca llamaba. ¿quién es Sole?.
