La confundieron con una terrorista
La lucense M.G.B.P. y su hija C.(pertenecen a una conocidísima familia de aquí) viajaron hace poco más de un mes a los EE.UU. Su destino era Miami donde querían visitar a un familiar, pero el avión hizo escala en Chicago. Y allí a M.G.B.P. la confundieron con una terrorista colombiana; había algunas coincidencias que fueron suficientes para que la policía norteamericana la detuviese durante varias horas. Naturalmente perdieron el avión que tenía que llevarlas a Miami y se llevaron un susto…
Cuando me contaban esto me vino a la memoria lo que le ocurrió a mi amigo P.N. hace algunos años. También en Norteamérica. Nada más salir del hotel en el que estaba la policía le rodeó, le lanzó al suelo y le puso la pistola en la cabeza. Su dominio del inglés no le llegó para hacerles comprender inmediatamente que él no era la persona con la que le confundieron. Me lo contaba así más o menos: “me confundieron con un peligroso delincuente y menos mal que como viví 18 años en EE.UU. entendí perfectamente lo que decían y les hice caso en todo; pude ganar tiempo y como yo no era el que buscaban…”
En el partido de baloncesto Breogán-Santander(¡que tostón!), me entero de que el ex del equipo local, Andrés Caso, tuvo que ser ingresado en un centro hospitalario por un problema cardiaco; parece que, afortunadamente, ha sido más el ruido que las nueces.
Por cierto que el rival del Breogán está patrocinado por un periódico montañés que, paradójicamente, la pasada temporada ponía los máximos obstáculos a muchos medios, la radio especialmente, para realizar su trabajo.
Más de diez mil multas por exceso de velocidad se pusieron en una semana en el túnel de la M-30 en Madrid. Han instalado un detector que se dispara automáticamente en cuanto se sobrepasan los 70 kilómetros por hora. Lo advierto de manera especial a los lucenses que viajan a la capital de España y que suelen utilizar esta vía. Ojito, para que los puntos y el bolsillo no se resientan.
Lo dice el geógrafo Jorge Olcina en EPS: “Mi ciudad ideal tiene muchas zonas verdes y no más de 400.000 habitantes”(¿Lugo, por ejemplo?). Olcina trabaja en un equipo de la ONU para reducir los efectos del cambio climático, desastres naturales, falta de agua…
Leído también en “El País”(páginas salmón): “Bosques Naturales intenta salvar el dinero de 9.000 ahorradores. El año pasado cerró con perdidas de 32 millones. El desequilibrio contable ha obligado a la empresa a reducir el capital de 1 a 0,12 euros por acción”. Galicia es la autonomía donde la empresa realizó mayor número de acciones, que afectaron a 436,2 hectáreas. Hay un lucense, amigo además, al que el pinchazo le ha costado mucho, mucho, dinero.
