Madrugada del viernes
Pero de un viernes especial, este. Parece que miles de lucenses se han puesto de acuerdo para reunirse en esas cenas de empresa y similares, de moda de un tiempo a esta parte. Yo he estado en la de la COPE. Nos reunimos exactamente 21 personas. Una mayoría de los jóvenes y una minoría entre la que me cuento de los de antes (casi de los de antes de la guerra). En el restaurante en el que cenamos, varios grupos del estilo del nuestro y por la calle, después, más de lo mismo. Los locales de copas con más gente de la habitual. Los excesos de la Navidad ya se han iniciado.
El presidente de la diputación, Gómez Besteiro, estuvo ausente estos últimos días de los diferentes actos más o menos oficiales, pero ha reaparecido el jueves, aunque por obligación. Personas próximas a él me dicen que no tiene la espalda muy bien y que una faja ortopédica le alivia de los dolores. A su edad no deja de ser una lata, que no se debe al peso de la púrpura, porque la cosa viene de antes.
Y ya que hablo de la diputación, me parecen poco apropiados para el estilo de la fachada del edificio, los pasamanos instalados en las rampas de acceso para minusválidos. No pegan ni con cola.
¿Y la decoración navideña?; pues muy bonita pero un poco rarita.
Me llega felicitación de Manuel Silva. Fue en Lugo sacerdote, profesor del seminario y del instituto masculino y posteriormente se secularizó, se licenció en Ciencias de la Información y llegó a ocupar un alto cargo en la Agencia Efe. Ahora, jubilado prematuramente, sigue escribiendo y hace incursiones en la poesía.
Tras la visita a España de Gadafi oigo en la radio sobre su aspecto físico:”parece un hibrido de Zerolo y el Loco de la Colina”
